Vista Life Innovations is Hiring a Visual Arts Education Coordinator and Instructor Near Madison, CT
We are seeking a Visual Arts Education Coordinator and Instructor for our “Create Program” in developing art curriculum and providing instruction to individuals with varying abilities in a community and day program setting.
This Full-Time (Monday – Friday) and Benefit-eligible position will be based at our Madison, CT campus with occasional travel to other Vista campuses.
Responsibilities for a Visual Arts Education Coordinator and Instructor include, but are not limited to:
Growing the program vision and providing art related curriculum and instruction to instill growth and independence in students, members, and the public, in a variety of mediums
Determining, planning, and leading art related initiatives in the community and internally at Vista
Instructing participants in the proper care and use of tools and equipment
Assisting in evaluations of potential students/members receiving art programming
Supervising the work of an art instructor
Completing administrative tasks and trainings
Education and Experience Requirements for a Visual Arts Education Coordinator and Instructor: Bachelor’s Degree plus 1 to 2 years of arts related instruction and curation experience. Vista values the work experience of applicants and therefore, may waive the Bachelor level of the educational requirement of a position in lieu of a strong work background in a related field.
Essential Requirements for a Visual Arts Education Coordinator and Instructor include a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, and the ability to obtain a Public Service License (cost paid by Vista) within 90 days of hire. Salary: Up to $47,000.
