Patient Care Tech (PCT) Responsibilities:
- Acts as a liaison between patients, patients' relatives, and the healthcare organization.
- Communicates patients' questions, complaints, problems and concerns to appropriate staff members.
- Explains policies and procedures to patients and refers them to the proper services.
- Duties include taking vital signs, collecting specimens, performing catheterization and assisting patients with eating, personal hygiene and grooming.
- Answer call lights quickly whether that of assigned patient or not.
- Transport patients to Surgery or other departments.
Shift Requirements:
- Must be flexible to work a rotating shifts over a 4-week period
- 12 hour shifts
- Weekend requirements – every other weekend
- Must be available to work holidays
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an IL approved CNA training program & active in the IL Health Care Registry.
