MSW Per Diem Position
Responsibilities:
Cooperate with other professionals to evaluate patients’ medical or physical condition and to assess client needs
Advocate for clients or patients to resolve crises
Collaborate with other professionals to assess client needs or plan treatments
Investigate abuse or neglect cases and take authorized protective action when necessary
Interview clients to gather information about their backgrounds, needs, or progress
Intervene in crisis situations to assist clients
Refer clients to community or social service programs
Refer individuals to educational or work programs
Qualifications:
Clinical Social Worker licensure required
Deep understanding the psychosocial aspects of illness and health
Experience of community facilities and resources for discharge planning
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong crisis intervention skills
Excellent short-term counseling skills
