VISITING NURSE dba Stillwater Hospice is Hiring an On Call RN After Hours, Full Time Near Fort Wayne, IN

Join our team at Stillwater Hospice!

We have an opening for an after-hours RN to make AFTER HOURS visits.

This is a Full-time 1 FTE Position. You will work a total of 8 on-call shifts per pay period (2 weeks) and rotate every other weekend. 

The On-call shifts during the week are 4p-8a, and weekend hours will be 12-hour day shifts. (weekend hours TBD).

This position is salaried based on nursing experience.

Travel will be required to Allen, Huntington, Jay, Blackford, Grant, Wells, Whitley, Wabash, Kosciusko, Noble, Dekalb, & Adams Counties.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Provision of nursing care while on call for patients by assessing needs, making appropriate revisions, and evaluating outcomes of care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Must have a current RN license to practice in the state of Indiana.

Must hold current CPR Certification or obtain it within the orientation period.

Infusion skills are preferred.

Prefer one (1) year of recent hospital or home health care experience.

Must be able to provide those services requiring substantial specialized nursing skills.

Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the health and/or safety of him/her or to others in the workplace.

Must be comfortable working with hospice patients with an emphasis on palliative care.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Strong assessment skills.

You must have an Indiana motor vehicle operator’s license and access to an automobile with current insurance coverage.

Must be able to drive independently to all patient/family homes.

Assist with in-servicing the community on the hospice philosophy as needed/requested.

The published compensation range for this position reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The base pay may be higher or lower based on demonstrated job-related experience.
