Position Purpose:
The Dental Director is responsible for the oversight of clinical management. The Director will create, implement, and carry out our dental clinical policy that is consistent with American Dental Association evidence-based guidelines. This is a highly visible and key role in maintaining our position and reputation in the local communities.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains relationships with field staff and in-house staff.
  • Reviews the dental program, initiates and evaluates new methods and modifies procedures to provide better dental care and to effect greater efficiency in operation.
  • Drives improvement of quality indicators by identifying, directing, and executing continuous quality improvement activities or processes.
  • Assist in the identification and development of current/new best practices in support of continuous financial and quality improvement.
  • Provides dental care to patients.
  • Develops and cascades clinical outcome/improvement messaging to cross-functional teams to foster tighter working culture.
  • Assists with driving aligned performance through the development of meaningful relationships, best practices and forward thinking solutions to improve our value within the local communities and with our staff.
  • Participates in the interview process of prospective employees to determine their suitability to fill vacancies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD)
  • CO Dental License
  • 5 years of clinical experience
  • Must reside in the state of Colorado
  • Four (4) years of experience in the practice of dentistry, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity
Supervisory capacity is defined as: provides direct supervision to planning, assigning, and reviewing work of staff of the unit, evaluating employee performance, counseling and recommending discipline.
Administrative capacity is defined as: responsible for overall administrative duties such as the development of procedures, participation in policy formulation and the responsibility for selection and hiring of staff.
