VISIONBank is now hiring a Personal Banking Officer! The Personal Banking Officer is member of the bank’s retail team, reporting directly to the Retail Banking Manager.

Primary responsibilities of this position are to help strengthen customer relationships, attract additional customers, and promote service excellence.

This individual is responsible for opening new accounts, recommending additional products to customers, and supporting the overall sales efforts of the bank by providing individualized service and tailored banking solutions. The Personal Banking Officer successfully builds and maintains long-term relationships with clients and prospects for future clientele.

Specific Duties Include:

• Recommending and explaining individual and business banking products and services to clients and prospects, based on their needs.
• Opening all varieties of VISIONBank personal and business accounts to establish and deepen customer relationships
• Effective management of client accounts, overseeing transactions, and resolving client inquiries and complaints
• Origination of consumer loans (from taking applications and information gathering, to delivering timely closings)
• Approval of consumer applications for lines of credit, extensions of lines, or consumer loans within authority guidelines.
• Referring clients to in-house commercial or mortgage lenders, when appropriate.
• Assisting with product promotions and communication of new banking products and services
• Preparing and gathering necessary documentation to ensure proper compliance when opening/closing accounts or assisting on lending transactions
• Discussing bank policies and procedures (and any changes affecting those) with clients
• Provide support to lenders by assisting with client communication, worksheet completion, and/or documentation

Successful candidates must possess expertise of the bank’s various products and the features and benefits associated with those products.

Strong knowledge of retail (and some lending) policies, procedures, and compliance are necessary to protect the interests of our bank and our clients. The individual must be highly effective at multi-tasking with outstanding follow-up and follow-through. They must demonstrate outstanding communication skills with a results-minded mentality and passion for sales, relationship-management, and coaching.

Standard shift is 8:30–5:30, M-F with occasional Saturdays and evenings required. Past teller or client service experience in banking is preferred.
