Vision Source of Hendersonville is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Hendersonville, TN

We are a rapidly-growing, independent optometric practice with three doctors in a vibrant community on the outskirts of Nashville.

An ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, energetic, works well in a fast-paced environment, has good team communication, and works to anticipate the needs of the doctors and team. Due to our heavy use of technology, strong computer skills are essential.

An ideal candidate will also have experience working in an optometry or ophthalmology clinic and/or have education or certifications (COT, COA, CPO, CPOT).

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with patients through the entrance testing portion of the exam, including creating patient chart, taking history, acuities, testing eye pressure, Optomap imaging, and other entrance tests
  • Keeping all clinic rooms clean and stocked with supplies
  • Assisting doctors in exam room including charting, instilling eye drops, inserting and removing contact lens for patients, scheduling referrals
  • Creating and sending reports to other doctors and prescriptions to pharmacies
  • Taking clinic-related phone calls
  • Performing therapeutic treatments such as the Blephex eyelid exfoliation procedure and Lipiflow thermal lid pulsation
