Teacher for 2.5-3 year old classroom

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
• Being under the direct supervision of the director and responsible to help in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum using variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.)
• Being alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group.
• Implementing plans concerning daily/weekly schedule, individual/group activities for children, lesson plans and room arrangement.
• Preparing materials and learning areas of guided activities for the social, nutritional, physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
• Parent conferences: Communicate with parents regarding the progress in the various areas of development of children and conduct individual conferences with parents of each child biannually.
• Communicate with parents regularly
• Collaborate with other educators
• Participate in planning and executing school events such as Christmas Show, Graduation Program, and additional events throughout the school year
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
• Cool-tempered, flexible, friendly personality
• Be comfortable with changing diapers

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of at least 12 units in early childhood development studies including Community Care Licensing required core classes (Child, Family, & Community; Curriculum Planning; Child Development)
• At least one-year experience in a licensed child care facility for preschool teacher preferred
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
• Fluency in Korean or Vietnamese (English bilingual) preferred
• Health Screening, TB Test
• Live Scan Fingerprinting

Compensation based on education and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
