Machinist/CNC Operator

Position overview:

The technician will be responsible for completing assigned tasks in a timely manner while adhering to cleanliness and quality standards. The technician must have experience with or a basic knowledge of CNC G-Code, part fixturing, and machining different alloys.

Technician duties:

• Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required.
• Demonstrate capability and competency in field of expertise.
• Ensure work environment is safe and clean.
• Demonstrate ability to work well with other individuals throughout the organization.
• Confidently read and interpret large blueprint packages.
• Efficiently produce parts using designed or improvised fixturing.
• Fabricate parts needed for assembly or installation, using shop machinery and equipment i.e., CNC vertical Mills, Manual mills, lathes, drill presses, band saws, and shears.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with CNC machining.
• Able to measure components using calipers and micrometers.
• Knowledge of different feeds and speeds for different materials
• Manual Machining a plus
• Use of Siemens controllers a plus
• ·High school diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
