Description

Are you caring and enthusiastic person looking for a fulfilling career in healthcare? Southwest Eye Clinic is a fun, fast paced, lively surgeon's office. We work hard to make sure our patients have the latest in treatment options. Our commitment is to provide the highest quality of comprehensive eye care! We are currently seeking an Insurance Coordinator to join our team. While experience is a plus, if you don't have an insurance background, our rockstar team is willing to train the right candidate. Schedule: Monday-Friday. NO WEEKENDS!

You'll be a great fit if you find joy and/or have experience in:

  • Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits through an electronic healthcare records system and phone calls to insurance companies.
  • Assembling financial estimates for patients and discuss these cost estimates with them.
  • Preparing patients for procedures by scheduling appointments, taking payments or making financial arrangements, and answering frequently asked questions about surgeries.
  • Preparing and complete all necessary paperwork before surgeries, including schedules, consent forms, authorizations (if needed), and receipts.
  • Experience with medical insurance benefits is preferred but not required.
