Child Care Assistant Teacher (Floater)

Renton Description Vision House Children's Village Child Care Center, is looking for an Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team of early childhood educators. This position works cooperatively with Lead Teacher in implementing a planned curriculum, providing a nurturing environment and sound classroom management according to Childrens Village policy for the children enrolled in the program.

Our mission is to provide every child with a loving, nurturing, Christ-centered environment where they can build positive relationships with others and fosters a love of learning. This position is Part-Time, located in Renton, WA.

**Rate, Hours & Benefits**

* Part-Time 12:30 to 6:30 Monday through Friday

* Benefits eligible

* $15.25 - $16 per hour, DOE, Non-Exempt

As an Assistant Teacher you will:

Develop positive relationships with the children, parents and other staff.

Communicate any concerns regarding the children or program or to the Lead Teacher.

Maintain room, supplies and equipment in coordination with Lead Teacher.

Participate in in-service training and team-building activities.

Implement curriculum & lesson plans for individuals and assigned groups.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements Completed 30 hours STARS training within 90 days of hire or have educational exemption.

ABILITY TO WORK LONGER DAYTIME HOURS DURING SCHOOL BREAKS AND HOLIDAYS.

1 year child care experience preferred.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Proof of negative TB test.

First Aid/CPR card within 90 days. (Can provide)

HIV/Bloodborne Pathogen training within 90 days. (Can provide)

Food Handlers Permit within 90 days.

Valid drivers license and ability to drive a 12-passenger van. (Will train)

Ability to sign Statement of Faith.

Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently.

Childrens Village Child care is operated by Vision House, a Christian service agency
