Qualifications
Experience/Skills:

1. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
2. Knowledge of the laws, rules, procedures, and programs specifically related to teaching in Indiana public schools.
3. Growth mindset to receive and implement weekly feedback.
4. Ability to: a. Evaluate problems and implement effective and creative solutions b. Analyze, develop, establish, and maintain efficient classroom flow c. Maintain emotional control under stress d. Manage simultaneous demands from a variety of sources e. Exercise excellent judgment in decision-making f. Communicate effectively with student families

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
• Valid IN Teaching License

Job Description

As a Classroom Teacher you will:
1. Use various management techniques effectively to create a productive and warm culture in your classroom
2. Prepare and participate in weekly lesson plan internalization meetings for both ELA and Math
3. Implement effective instructional and management strategies based on Teach Like a Champion and Get Better Faster
4. Collaborate with colleagues to provide accommodations and interventions for all scholars
5. Follow pacing guides for lessons
6. Attend and participate in weekly coaching meetings
7. Participate in Vision’s accountability system, being formally evaluated several times each year
8. Track scholar data, monitor progress, and adjust instruction
9. Utilize our social-emotional curriculum, Second Step, to ensure growth and learning in social-emotional needs
10. Communicate effectively with scholar families to ensure progress for each student
11. Teach curriculum with fidelity: Wit & Wisdom, Eureka Math, Fundations Phonics, Second Step
12. Active in the school’s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support to ensure all scholars grow academically, behaviorally, and social-emotionally
