The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Director of Finance Transformation tolead and oversee initiatives designed to ensure Visio has effective and agile finance systems, models, processes and reporting to meet its strategic objectives.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Defining the strategic scope and lead a problem-solving approach to enhancement of the sourcing, analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Overseeing in-depth financial analysis to provide thought leadership around business analytics and use multiple sources of data to frame key trends, opportunities, and risks for senior management
  • Working with various stakeholders to enhance and develop management reporting
  • Collaborating with internal teams on origination pipeline, cash management, financing warehouse management, loan sale/securitization and the associated impact to liquidity and earnings forecast
  • Driving the optimization of the forecasting process across capital planning, cash management and profitability
  • Overseeing the development of the annual operating plan and budget presented to the Board of Directors for approval
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of internal reporting requirements
  • Leading detailed variance analysis on financial results and metrics
  • Evaluating the existing flow of financial data into the corporate model and find opportunities to introduce automation
  • Verifying that the Company’s corporate model is performing as intended
  • Enhancing financial presentations based on financial reporting trends of publicly traded mortgage REIT’s for the Board of Directors, third-party investors/counterparties/diligence/etc.
  • Assisting with the engagement of investment banks to obtain market updates and insight into desired qualities of IPO/Acquisition targets
  • Developing, analyze, and educate the business on loss mitigation alternatives and potential securitization losses
  • Analyzing available financial planning and analysis tools including options embedded within an ERP solution, and evaluate ERP solutions to determine the most appropriate alternative to QuickBooks
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned based on business needs
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm CST 
  • Available Remote Locations: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IL, IA, KS, KY, LA, MO, NC, OH, SC, TX, UT, WI
  • Salary Range: $TBD. The offered salary will be dependent upon the relevant/desired experience for this role. (Exempt level position)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Someone with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Someone with 10 years of finance, accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, or other relevant experience
  • Someone with 5 years of supervisory experience in a related field with demonstrated ability to lead others effectively
  • Someone with advanced Microsoft Excel experience
  • Someone who can use standard office equipment, printer, scanner, copier, fax, telephone, computer, and other peripheral devices 
  • Someone who is a self-motivated individual who proactively acts while maintaining a high-level quality and attention to detail
  • Someone with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others
  • Someone with excellent organizational and project management skills with proven experience driving projects with a sense of urgency
  • Someone with the ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Someone with the ability to deal with ambiguity and create processes and procedures
  • Someone who can work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Internal Applicants: 6 months of Visio Lending work experience which includes no disciplinary actions within the last 3 months. The current manager notification is needed to apply for a vacant position. Any applicant that does not meet these conditions will require approval from the executive team member over the hiring department prior to extending a job offer. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Someone with 7 years of supervisory experience in a related field with demonstrated ability to lead others effectively
  • Someone with a CFA, or MBA in Accounting or Finance
  • Someone with experience with NetSuite software
  • Someone with experience with Hyperion, Power BI, Python or other BI and BPM
  • Someone with experience in large scale transformation and system implementation
  • Someone with prior experience in REIT, mortgage, or related industry
