Dynamic Systems Inc. (DSI), a VPG brand located in the greater Albany, NY metropolitan area, is growing and has multiple openings for Mechanical Engineers. DSI is looking to add Mechanical Engineers at various stages of their career, from recent college graduates to those with years of experience. 

DSI is the global leader in metallurgical thermo-mechanical test and simulation systems. DSI’s customers include the top metal producers, research universities, and government energy and defense laboratories worldwide. 

Responsibilities

  • Creation of mechanical designs and design documentation to support manufacture, assembly and field usage of the designs.
  • Development of customer installation and site layout plans.
  • Maintenance of existing designs and design documentation to support ongoing product production.
  • Assembly and testing of prototypes and first build projects.
  • Support of new manufacturing processes, machines, and enhancements, and direct support of in house manufacturing & CNC machines.
  • Infrequent travel to customer sites for design troubleshooting and repair.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with a strong preference for Mechanical Engineering
  • Work experience requirements vary based on the position (MEI, MEII, or MEIII) 
  • Experience with parametric design software with preference given to Autodesk Inventor
