VCS is looking for Maintenance Technician Facilities for one of our client at Princeton, IL.

Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 12/27/2024 (with possible extension)

Pay Rate: $25/hour
- Shift 1: $25/hr
If the plant moves to shifts- shift differentials will be added to hourly rate:
- Shift 2: shift start time at noon= $0.50/hr
- Shift 3: shift start time at 6pm= $0.75/hr

Shift schedule : Currently Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm; during harvest and/or packaging, the plant will move to a 24/5 schedule and this position must be available for rotating shifts. Those schedules will be determined when closer to the seasons.
Weekly Schedule: 40 hours

Responsibilities
- Support Plant Operations.
- Maintain Condition of the plant shop and maintenance tools
- Support Process Safety Management and location safety efforts.
- Conduct seasonal prep work including Annual Preventative Maintenance, Repairs, and Improvements.
- Assure proper set-up, calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment, machines, and facilities.
- Complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed.
- Complete fabrication projects to improve plant processes.
- Work with vendors and contractors to safely and effectively complete work.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 years of relevant work experience in a maintenance dept
- Willing and able to work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse)
- Willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas, standing and sitting for extended periods
- Willing and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions
- Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
- Willingness and ability to work shiftwork and overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaks
