Job Description 

The VCA team is looking for a seasoned leader to join our consulting and analytics organization to grow and deliver the strategy, team and financials for Visa’s North America Digital Partners Fintech segment. The potential candidate will be responsible for selling, delivering and implementing high value consulting projects and solutions with this diverse and growing set of clients. This person will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner. 

Potential engagements will include payments strategy, benchmarking analysis, product development and launch, customer life cycle analytics (acquisition, engagement, retention), audience creation and personalization, loyalty optimization, propensity modeling and geospatial insights to name a few. 

Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Proactively engage Visa leaders in regular strategy & planning discussions, as well as identify, cultivate and manage a pipeline of work with North America Digital Partners and Fintech clients 

  • Act as an owner in selling, scoping and delivering client engagements in partnership with your immediate team and Visa partners 

  • Partner with the Account Team to identify engagement opportunities, while simultaneously becoming a trusted ally key contributor to nurturing and enhancing the client relationship 

  • Manage, lead and develop a team of Managers and Analysts 

  • Lead consulting initiatives, managing cross-functional project teams and delivering upon engagement commitments 

  • Develop frameworks, approaches and recommendations that effectively address the most impactful opportunities and challenges of our clients 

  • Collaborate with peers in other functional areas (e.g., data science, product, marketing, sales, risk) and across global and regional teams to execute projects 

  • Build solutions, as well as produce actionable data-driven insights, analyses and recommendations that will improve client performance, boost growth, improve customer engagement and provide strategic guidance for client priorities 

  • Ability to think critically about, effectively manipulate, and analyze large data sets (industry and Visa) to determine meanings, insights and recommendations for clients (including effective collaboration with data science teams) helping them achieve strategic objectives.

  • Understand industry dynamics, fintech business models, product offerings and demonstrate knowledge of clients’ core businesses and competitive differentiation 

  • Create payments insights, as well as build scalable solutions, toolkits and best practice assets that can be applied across the broader VCA practice

Incumbents applying for the role should be self-motivated, highly accountable and energized, detail-oriented individuals. Candidates must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with internal and external clients and across the Visa organization. This is a people leader role, reporting into a Senior Director within VCA.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 5 years of relevant experience across different payments related areas (e.g., Fintechs, Processors, Acquirers, Payments Schemes) and with large management consulting players
  • Strong consulting skills, including selling in and managing complex engagements
  • Strong Fintech, Digital Payments and Marketplace experience demonstrating the ability to analyze multiple data sets, quickly draw insights and apply learnings both inside and outside of the payments function
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations, processor business and/ or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives and card acquiring experience
  • Executive presence including excellent communication, storytelling, presentation skills, written and verbal, and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
  • Demonstrated leadership, managerial and collaboration capabilities, particularly with those who are not direct reports as may be found in a matrixed organization
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual rigor and the ability to draw meaningful insights from disperse data outputs
  • Proven track record of owning & executing on large cross functional initiatives, projects and delivering results
  • Self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills, able to make quick decisions in complex environments and capable of handling numerous projects concurrently
  • Team player while holding self and others accountable for measurable high quality, timely and effective deliverables
  • Technology mindset, curious, up-to-date with digital trends and applications

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 159,200.00 to 207,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
