Virtus Healthcare Staffing is Hiring a Speech Language Pathologist Near Lewiston, ID

Trusted Stuffe Seeks Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) for Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ID (2 Openings)
Trusted Stuffe is excited to partner with a regional medical center in Lewiston, ID to find two passionate and qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)! This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated SLP to make a positive impact on the lives of children in either a school or outpatient clinic setting.
We Are Seeking Applicants For Two Positions
  • School Contract: Work directly with children in a school setting, following the school's schedule. Opportunities exist for summer and holiday clinic/hospital hours based on availability and competency.
  • Outpatient Clinic Setting: Provide therapy services to children in a dedicated outpatient clinic environment. Normal hours are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday-Friday, with the possibility of a 4/10 schedule (blocked time for documentation, meetings, and travel included).
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess children's speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each child's specific needs.
  • Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapy techniques to improve children's communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
  • Document progress in children's medical records and participate in meetings.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for children during therapy sessions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program (or eligible for graduation within the next 6 months).
    • Current Idaho Speech-Language Pathologist License.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); or be eligible for, and actively working on completion of the Clinical Fellowship year.
    • Current BLS certification.
    • Willingness to work with pediatric patients in the chosen setting (school or outpatient clinic).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience working with children in a school or outpatient setting (depending on the position applied for).
    • Strong understanding of child development and communication disorders.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
