Trusted Staffe is partnering with a care and rehabilitation facility in Decatur, AL to find a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT). This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate PT to play a vital role in helping patients regain their functional independence and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical impairments, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's specific goals, focusing on improving strength, mobility, coordination, balance, and pain management.
• Utilize a variety of physical therapy techniques, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and gait training.
• Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Document treatment progress in patients' medical records and participate in care conferences.
• Maintain a safe and patient-centered treatment environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on current physical therapy practices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Requirements:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Valid Physical Therapist License in the state of Alabama.
  • Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to document effectively in medical records.

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with patients with a variety of conditions, including neurological disorders, orthopedic injuries, and geriatric conditions.
  • Proficient in various manual therapy techniques.
  • Experience with using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
