NorthPoint Search Group is Hiring a Manager - SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Near Atlanta, GA
The position of Manager - SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting will be under the supervision of the Controller and will primarily involve the preparation of the Company's SEC filings and associated documents. The Manager will also be responsible for researching, providing opinions on, and documenting the appropriate accounting treatment for significant and complex transactions. Additionally, they will contribute to the development of new processes to address evolving accounting requirements. The Manager may also be involved in preparing specialized analyses as needed and updating the Company's accounting policy manual to reflect changes resulting from Accounting Standards Updates or new business needs. Furthermore, the Manager will assist in certain month-end closing entries and the development of new processes as required. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the Company's 10-Q, 10-K, and other external financial reports, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SEC Regulations, XBRL, or other relevant regulatory guidance, and maintain supporting documentation.
Research and document the technical accounting treatment for significant transactions.
Stay informed about accounting standards updates and assess their impact on the Company, providing recommendations to executive leadership.
Monitor SEC and other regulatory requirements and advise executive leadership accordingly.
Maintain effective internal controls, including those required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
Manage and update the Company's accounting policy manual.
Act as the primary contact for external auditors regarding reporting matters.
Assist in designing and implementing new accounting processes in response to changes in accounting standards or business needs.
Develop and implement innovative and automated solutions to improve existing processes.
Collaborate with other departments on special projects as needed.

Technical proficiency to provide support to other finance functions.
Education and Experience: The successful candidate should meet the following educational and experiential criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BS or BA).
CPA License.
Five years of relevant experience.
Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous.
