Virginia Mason Medical Center is Hiring a Certified Coding Specialist Near Seattle, WA

Responsibilities
  • Analyzes and codes complex cases by reviewing documentation, confirms coding is in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Identifies trends/problem in medical documentation and recommends possible solutions. Assists with billing and documentation in daily interaction with physicians regarding various inquiries relating to CPT and ICD-10 coding.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
  • One of the following: Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) or CCS--Physician-based (CCS-P).
  • Five years of CPT and Diagnostic coding experience in a healthcare provider or a third party payer setting. Clinical knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
