Outpatient neuropsychiatry clinic needs a full-time (36 hours per week: M-Th, 8:30am-5:00pm; Fri 8:30am-3:30pm; with 1-hr lunch breaks) employee to assist with clinical and research work related to MRI brain imaging. We use MRI brain imaging, especially brain volume measurement, to better understand the effects of brain injury on our patients. Most of our patients suffer from chronic effects of mild or moderate traumatic brain injury. Our other patients have hypoxic brain injury, mold-related illness, and other brain disorders. We do comprehensive clinical and forensic work with our patients, teach student interns, and do research and development.

More specifically, we seek an employee who can assist in these areas:

• Work with the patient, their family, and the MRI scanning center to schedule MRI brain scans.
• After the scan, obtain MRI brain images and related data from the scanning center.
• Process the MRI images using NeuroQuant and NeuroGage software to measure brain volume.
• Use Excel and Word to produce reports to be reviewed by our Clinical Associate (Master's degree level) and Dr. Ross.
• Track what each patient needs in Excel so that we can prioritize our work and meet our deadlines.
• Facilitate communication between the patient, their family, the MRI scanning centers, and our own employees so that everything is accomplished efficiently.
• Use Microsoft Office (including Calendar, Email and Contacts)
• Occasionally teach our students from local universities or medical schools who do voluntary internships with us.
• Assist with research design, data management and data analysis, including statistical analyses.
• Periodically update our proprietary software (NeuroGage), which extends the utility of the NeuroQuant brain volume measurement software. The NeuroGage "factory" consists of a series of Excel sheets with formulas that process the data.
• Assist with front-line information technology work, for example, debug computer problems, etc.
