Summary
The Abstract Research Coordinator’s (Coordinator) primary focus is abstracting and managing data for the Critical Care Cardiology Trials Network Registry (CCCTN). This includes using clinical knowledge and experience to conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of coronary ICU patients’ information and, without identifiers, enter information into the data base. This Coordinator must follow proper guidelines and the PI’s instructions as well as consult with the PI as appropriate.

Duties include and are not limited to:
Following all related guidelines, review data and enter data correctly into the CCCTN Registry
Other related duties as assigned 

Required Education and Experience

-Several years of clinical research experience
-In-depth knowledge of cardiology terminology
-Independent judgement and critical thinking skills
-Experience utilizing the CCCTN Registry
-Ability to work independently and and request guidance when appropriate
-Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
-Detail oriented
-Ability to understand and follow guideline 

Preferred Education and Experience:-Several years of experience working in cardiology at VCU
-Experience with Redcap and other related electronic systems

Job Specific Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
Light lifting (less than 20 lb), fast pace, multiple stimulation, intense customer interaction, frequent change, memory, reasoning, hearing, reading, analyzing, logic, and verbal and written communication.
