Viracon LLC Function: Performs a variety of interpretation / translation activities and HR-related duties by performing the following tasks. Assist Training Manager, Human Resources, Supervisors, Production Trainers and Training Specialists with specific employee issues related to their line or area and are responsible for all additional needs by line employees. Essential Job Responsibilities: Provides oral interpretation and written translation for the following: Health Services Department -- including drug screens, employee visits to physician/PT, employees needing treatment by nurse Safety -- including training and documents Manufacturing -- including employee issues and communications HR Department: including policies, employee Q&A, orientation Serves as primary liaison for employees. Identifies opportunities to improve relations. Assists employees in attendance, payroll or any other questions or issues that may arise on the floor. Provides translation training to other employees and HR staff members, focusing on designated back-ups for translation services. Trains new transferred and promoted employees in proper and safe work procedures, safety equipment and handling techniques for the area in which they are assigned. Reviews ISO documents and quality standards with new and transferred employees. Trains employees in the use of SFA, SFe, Bridge and other systems. Communicates effectively with Production Trainers, Training Specialists, Training Manager and new/transferred employees. Performs duties in a safe manner using all approved safety equipment as instructed. Conducts plant tours with new employees when needed. Reviews Viracon Policies and Procedures with new employees. Maintains an effective working relationship with all hourly employees, Supervisors, Production Managers and office staff. Trains new employees how to read and interpret shapes and surfaces, patterns and sketches. May perform reasonably similar or related duties as instructed. Maintains training records. Participates in Viracon’s Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team’s performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements. Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred. Ability to effectively train new employees and transfers. Thorough knowledge of production paperwork, scanners and SFA Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point. Excellent communication, teaching, presentation and organizational skills. Proven ability to provide work direction and achieve goals through self-motivation with minimal supervision. Must be able to perform essential job responsibilities. Regular full-time attendance.
