JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary The Wine Cellar Specialist will fulfill and process orders, accept incoming shipments, and support the general organization and operations of the warehouse.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policy.
• Records, reports, and returns defective shipments and items.
• Accurately records and labels product via Warehouse Management System using handheld equipment (where applicable).
• Safely and accurately move product to and from inventory stock locations.
• Fulfills client orders either by the bottle or case; repackages order as appropriate; updates inventory system.
• Consolidates client’s inventory and updates inventory system as appropriate.
• Restocks supplies; notifies supervisor/manager of when supplies need to be reordered.
• Processes invoices, supplying necessary data to accounting or other appropriate department for payment and recordkeeping.
• Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
• Field’s inquiries or complaints related to shipments; notifies supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues

(damage, breakage, miscounts etc.).

• Performs client pickup and delivery requests.
• Arrive to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: Warehouse environment maintained at 55 degrees and may be subjected to loud noise, dust, temperature, and weather extremes. Uniforms and/or safety shoes are not provided. Appropriate attire guidance provided by supervisor / manager.

Physical demands

• Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, bending, and carrying.
• Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time repetitively.
• Must be able to operate non-certified warehouse equipment, i.e., pallet jack, ladder, hand cart.
• Visual acuity

Required education and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 6 months of hire. Certified forklift operator preferred.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license for the operation of forklift truck and company vehicles required.
• At least one year of work experience in a warehouse preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
