Vineyard Columbus moved into our Westerville Campus in 1992 when the church was a single congregation. Since that time, Vineyard Columbus has started over 30 churches and has expanded to four physical locations in central Ohio, with plans for two more locations in Columbus over the next two years.
Our Westerville campus hosts our largest congregation. It is a growing campus with 2,500 weekly attenders in person and reaching another 2,500 weekly online. Our auditorium seats almost 2,300 and has two services at 9 & 11am on Sundays. Our Westerville congregation exists to represent and extend the values and vision of Vineyard Columbus on the northeast side of the Columbus metropolitan area. As our original campus, we not only draw from and serve those on the northeast side of Columbus, but throughout the central Ohio region. Our Westerville campus represents our multiethnic mission--the congregation is "majority minority" with individuals and families from over 125 nations represented every weekend.
Our church staff is in the midst of a transformation as we develop both a central ministry team that will serve all of our campuses, as well as a Westerville team that will focus their energy on pastoring our largest congregation. As we continue this transformation into a "church of campuses" we want to retain intentional focus on our Westerville campus. The Westerville Campus Pastor role is a new role that will bring leadership to our Westerville team and, along with our senior pastors, be part of our Westerville Campus preaching team.
The role of the Campus Pastor at Vineyard Columbus is a commissioned minister with the responsibility tooversee congregational growth and development. This includes working out our ministry vision and prioritiesthrough the Westerville Campus staff team under the direction and leadership of the Senior Pastors. Our aim is to have individuals start in this role by September 9, 2024 so together they can begin engaging in an intentional 12-month development program that will focus on mentoring in Vineyard leadership and theology, personal and spiritual formation, and exposure to Vineyard Columbus' extensive array of ministries while leading pastorally in their new roll.
