Cosmetic Surgery Consultant

Vincent Surgical Arts now hiring for our surgery consultant position to assist Dr. Vincent in providing information and pricing to patients who are considering cosmetic surgery.

Qualifications:

• Be enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the concept of cosmetic surgery and competent to discuss patient questions related to the surgical procedures performed in the surgery center.

• Be capable of maintaining the strictest confidentiality.

• Excellent documentation and verbal skills.

• An outgoing personality and “people skills.”
• Basic knowledge of Excel, spreadsheets and navigating the Google drive.

Responsibilities:

• Complete appropriate consultation forms for each consultation.

• Perform surgical consults for prospective patients.
• Verify reason(s) patients are seeking a consultation, going over the patient chart, including health history, previous surgeries, and medication allergies prior to the physician meeting with the patient.

• Discuss surgical options available to patients and types of anesthesia offered.

• Request any necessary pre-op requirements and all medical conditions.

• Obtain medical records of previous related surgeries.
• Discuss the financial costs of surgical procedures and collection and cancellation policies.
• Review pre-op requirements, including medications to avoid, no smoking, no drinking, etc.

• Provide the patient copy of the price quote.

• Provide information as to what to expect in terms of the surgery, recovery, and post-op.

• Take baseline photographs for the patient's chart.

• Assist in scheduling surgeries at the time of consultation.

• Follow up correspondence with patients after their consultation to answer questions patients may have.

• Initiate and answer patient correspondence.

• Maintain current knowledge of VSA pricing, products, and procedures available at the practice.

• Keep a Consult Log to track how the patient was referred, and the conversion rate of consult to surgeries.

• Other duties as required and appropriate.

• Assist Front desk in answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments for various procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Reception or Admin: 1 year (Required)
• Medical Spa or Dental Office: 1 year (Required)
• Medical terminology: 1 year (Required)

Language:

• Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
• Esthetician License (Preferred)
