Job Summary We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be the RN in a skilled nursing facility acting as the supervisor. This is a agency contract for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for its day shift (7a-7p) on the Medical Surgical Unit. This position is responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. You will supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team while treating patients with kindness and consideration. Compensation: $60.00 to $65.00 per hour $1400 Taxed and Weekly Stipend $940 per week (Travel) Starting at $60 per hour Local Requirements
Identifying what patients need and caring for them.
Working as a team player and supervising other nursing personnel that reports to you.
Keeping neat records and preparing reports in a timely manner.
Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for staff and patients in accordance with quality standards.
Demonstrating excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Demonstrating proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems.
Your Essential Qualifications:
Education:
Associate of Nursing (Required)
Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)
License:
New York RN (Required)
Certifications:
BLS (Preferred)
Experience:
Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
Coordinate with other colleagues to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans
Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or reactions
Document any changes in patient conditions and report on changes
Maintain accurate records of patient care and discuss observations with supervisor
Qualifications
Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of employment
Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
Valid driver’s license
First aid/CPR certification required
Must be reliable, dependable and professional. Commitment to a 13 week contract is required. The position is 12 hour days 7am-7pm with every other weekend requirement.
