Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This is a vital role in our healthcare facility, as you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in the system
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle any administrative tasks assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of dental office operations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.50 - $18.00 per hour
