We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated tutor to provide educational support for two children, aged 4 and 7 years old. The tutor will primarily focus on aiding the pre-K child in learning fundamentals such as alphabets, counting, shapes, and other basic concepts, while also assisting the 2nd grade child with daily homework assignments and providing instruction in Maths and English. You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. This is an onsite, non-online/virtual tutoring position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to engage both children in learning.
• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction tailored to the individual needs and learning styles of each child.
• Assist the pre-K child in mastering foundational skills such as letter recognition, number sense, and shape identification.
• Aid the 2nd grade child in completing homework assignments, understanding concepts in Maths and English, and preparing for quizzes and tests.
• Create a supportive and nurturing learning environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and academic growth.
• Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on the children's progress and discuss any concerns or areas needing improvement.
• Pick up children from school daily (transportation will be provided) and bring them back to the designated tutoring location.
• Maintain a safe and organized tutoring space conducive to learning.

Qualifications:

• College graduate or college student pursuing a degree in education, child development, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, such as tutoring, teaching, or childcare.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and educational principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and flexibility in adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Must pass background check.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Daily sessions from 2:30pm to 6:00pm. (about 18 hrs per week)
• Compensation ranging from $30 to $40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
