Villages of Lake Highlands is Hiring a Double Weekend Nurse (RN) Near Dallas, TX

Villages of Lake Highlands Team:

Hello! As a member of Villages of Lake Highlands, you will have the opportunity to brighten someone’s day every single day! We strive to make VOLH a second home to our guests (and staff!). Nursing is usually how our guests first encounter what community is all about at VOLH, and we like to make that first impression a positive one! Needless to say, customer service is incredibly important to us and our nursing experience is a great way to cheer our guests up. However, we also need our LVN team to be team players and be open to filling in other roles when needed. As you probably already know, skilled nursing on the weekends can be a different ball game, one that often requires more patience and out of the box thinking! Again, we strive to satisfy our guests! In other words, we are looking for a customer service driven and eager to learn LVN!

Job Duties:

  • Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Evaluates staffing pattern needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Resident Care Services.
  • Administers medication/treatments as prescribed.
  • Receive, transcribe, implement physician’s orders.
  • Implements and evaluates care plans.
  • Identifies/secures equipment supplies
  • Directs/oversees subordinates.
  • Participates in duty assignments.
  • Organizes/coordinates subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
  • Oversees/monitors function and activities of subordinate staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance and institutes appropriate action discipline/training.
  • Monitors infection control compliance.
  • Investigates/documents accidents/incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid licensure as a LVN required
  • Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
  • Management/Supervisory experience required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed
  • Strong written and verbal skills required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour
