Do you love providing compassionate medical care to children? Our practice is in need of a Registered Nurse (RN) who does. The successful candidate will love working with children and have extensive experience communicating with youth. We’re looking for a highly professional RN who is comfortable reassuring parents and communicating with providers. We offer a positive, upbeat work environment where all team members work together for the good of the patient, and we hope you’ll want to join our team.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
-Room, triage, take vitals and present patient to provider
-Administer medications, provide vaccinations and render treatment as directed by provider
-Communicate with providers, and other medical professionals
-Collaborate with physicians to create and execute a Plan of Care for each patient
-Create and contribute to patients’ medical records as needed
-Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their parents or guardians
-Track and maintain medical supply inventory along with other staff members
-Counsel patients and family members before, during and after treatment
Qualifications and Skills:
-December 2023 grads, we would be willing to train while awaiting licensing
-We are looking for nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics, but would be willing to train the right person
-Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
-Valid New York State nursing license(recent graduates considered awaiting boards)
-Advanced knowledge of MEDENT EMR a plus
-Office is open Monday through Friday.
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills
-Ability to explain treatments and conditions to children of all ages
-Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations
