Summary: The Resident Care Coordinator is responsible for managing and addressing resident care needs within the community. The Resident Care Coordinator will hire, train, supervise, and schedule the Resident Assistants, CNAs, and CMAs. They will monitor resident care needs, alert the Wellness Director when a resident has a change in condition, and address both resident and family concerns.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Plans, organizes, develops and assists in directing the overall operation of the community in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, and Galerie Management regulations and guidelines.
  • Partners with Wellness Director by alerting to any change of condition of the resident including tracking incident reporting.
  • Participates in the Move In process by completing initial assessments as requested by the Wellness Director.
  • Communicates regularly with families through care plan meetings, emails, and phones calls.
  • Acts as a resource and meets the families social and emotional needs while encouraging family involvement.
  • Assists Wellness Director in monitoring employee hours worked and staffing patterns to assure the maximization of variable staffing.
  • Understands and manages the department budget to include labor and other expenses and the impact on overall community performance.
  • Assists in hiring, training, supervision, coaching, and discipline with all clinical associates.
  • Completes the schedule for clinical associates and is on call as needed.
