Join the Village of Orland Park team by taking advantage of an opportunity to fill the Building Attendant position within our Recreation Department. Our premiere Recreation Department facilities consist of various locations, which provide information, entertainment, creative outlets and adventure for all ages in the Orland Park Community and beyond. The convenient hours make this a great job for college students, recent retirees or anyone who is looking for a fun, rewarding and autonomous work environment.
This position is responsible for maintaining a safe environment with the buildings managed by the Recreation and Parks Department, which include the Franklin Loebe Center. This includes the activities and the safety of the people utilizing the facility as well as assisting the Special Events Team by helping to prepare for events as well as working in various capacities as needed. This position is also responsible for cheerfully greeting the public and building renters as well as setting up for daily room rentals. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the facility; including emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors, and washing windows. In addition, responsibilities include securing the facility and completion of a detailed shift report.
High School Diploma is preferred. Previous maintenance experience is desired. Excellent communication skills are necessary to perform this job.
Weekday and weekend hours available generally up to 15 hours per week including mornings, afternoons and evenings. Shifts vary based on facility schedules and events. Must have open availability on the weekends.
