Job Description:

Cashiers provide fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our guests using a computerized cash system. Cashiers often bag their guests’ groceries and help shoppers find items in the store. They must maintain a clean and stocked work station. They may be asked to front surrounding areas and may take “return” products back to proper shelf locations.

Qualifications:

• Ability to provide exceptional guest service.

• Must have a love of natural, organic and specialty products.

• Ability to learn and operate all aspects of the computerized cash system.

• Ability to learn and follow strict cash/check/credit card handling procedures

• Must have strong communication skills.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4 hours without a break. Stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.

• Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift loads, up to 50 lbs. unassisted, push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.

• Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and Holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional guest service.

• Responsible for achieving 90% average on all Mystery shop scores.

• Operate all aspects of the computerized cash system.

• Follow strict cash/check/credit card handling procedures.

• Effectively communicate with Guests, Team Members and Store Leadership.

• Maintain a clean and well stocked cashier Pod.

• Fronting of surrounding areas.

• Bag groceries and retrieve carts when necessary.
