POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is a critical leadership role within our operations, ensuring efficient and safe warehousing and logistical operations. This individual is responsible for the operation of warehouse machinery, supervision and execution of shipping and receiving procedures, inventory management, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards in the warehouse.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Machinery Operation

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of warehouse machinery, including forklifts, lift trucks, pallet jacks, and non-CDL box trucks.

Shipping & Receiving Supervision

• Manage and assist in building orders for delivery/pick-up, loading trucks, route planning, and creating accurate shipping documentation.
• Oversee receiving processes, including inspection, documentation, and storage of incoming goods.

Inventory Management

• Conduct daily and weekly inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and organization of inventory.
• Oversee monthly inventory reporting and adjustments.

Safety & Cleanliness

• Uphold high standards of workplace safety and cleanliness, including maintenance of trucks and warehouse equipment.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.

Production Assistance

• Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely retrieval and allocation of raw materials from warehouse to production lines.

Continuous Improvement

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED; further education or certifications in logistics/warehouse management preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role within food manufacturing or a related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Certified or capable of becoming certified in forklift operation.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and resolve conflicts.
• Initiative in ambiguous situations and commitment to high standards of excellence.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIORNMENT

• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Ability to perform physical activities, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working in varying temperatures.
