EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The Village of Dresden Police Department is seeking qualified applicants

for the position of full-time Chief of Police.

Minimum Qualifications

• US citizen at least 21 years old
• OPOTA Peace Officer certification
• Law Enforcement experience of 5 years or more
• Prefer prior supervisor experience
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of current law enforcement principles, procedures and techniques
• Successfully pass physical examinations, drug screen and background check.

Compensation and Benefits

• $47,000-$52,000 annual salaried position depending on experience.
• $25,000/year in benefits including pension (OP&F), health insurance, dental and life insurance at minimal cost to employee

• Annual uniform allowance

• Additional income for special duty may be available from third parties (off-duty only)
