Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sandwich Maker to join our team. As a Sandwich Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling sandwiches according to customer specifications. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to our customers' satisfaction.
Duties:
- Prepare sandwiches by following established recipes and customer requests
- Slice, chop, and prepare ingredients such as meats, cheeses, vegetables, and condiments
- Assemble sandwiches with accuracy and consistency
- Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, grills, and ovens
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders and answering questions about menu items
- Upsell additional menu items or promotions to customers
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating portion sizes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with POS system is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes or menu items
