Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and documentation using Dentrix software
- Assist with dental lab tasks
- Provide a comfortable and positive experience for our young patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- X-ray certification (if required by state)
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Familiarity with dental documentation system Dentrix and Dexis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
