Job Purpose

Clean outside areas of all buildings and common areas.

Qualifications Required

• Previous custodial and grounds experience preferred
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while performing custodial tasks
• Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work
• Familiar with operating, caring for, and storing custodial equipment and supplies

Duties and Responsibilities

General Duties (All Shifts)

• Keeps property in clean and orderly condition.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
• Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment.
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers.
• Manages inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Cleans outside areas such as walkways and stairwells along with bathrooms out on property.
• Must be able to work in hot/cold weather conditions as the job requires that you work outside.
• Mail room - Dust, sweep, vacuum and wipe doors.
• Washers & Dryers - Wipe down/Clean, remove debris and lint from lint traps.
• Floors - Sweep all floors in every building, Mop any spills.
• Railings - wipe down with wood cleaner to remove any salt and animal droppings.
• Stairwells - Sweep all stairwells and wipe down handrails and walls, mop any spills.
• Ashtrays - Clean out
• Wipe breaker box panels
• Clean chaises, chairs, and table sin all common areas.
• Meeting room - clean and vacuum after meetings or events.
• Other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager

Hazards and Maintenance

§ Observe any hazards or maintenance concerns which threatens personal safety and report to General Manager as needed.

§ Be proactive by reporting lights being broken or burnt out and any other problems that need to be addressed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
