Pay: $35/hour

6 hours/week

Schedule: 3 - 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays
(With a paid prep period for every hour of rehearsal)

This position is seasonal and runs from now through 5/30/24.

Villa Academy seeks a part-time Music Director & Vocal Coach for the upcoming musical production of Finding Nemo.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Rehearsing all music with students aged 5 - 9.
• Preparing students for performance, with Theater Manager.
• Updating Theater Manager and Performing Arts Coordinator on student musical performance progress.
• Coaching students on proper vocal technique.
• Teaching additional musical skills, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience with vocal coaching and/or music directing.
• A minimum of one year of experience in working with school-aged children in a school/child care/camp/music activity setting.
• Music or theater degree considered a plus, including degree in process.
• Theater experience a plus.
