Job Description

Vilbig and Associates, PLLC (VA) is searching for an entry-level CAD technician for our Denison, Texas office. This part-time position will assist in drafting, planning and design of civil engineering projects including site design and land planning. 

This position is in-person at our Denison, Texas office. An ideal candidate will be comfortable collaborating with remote workers. Current students are encouraged to apply for this part-time position. 

Responsibilities include: 
• Preparing engineering and construction drawings using company CAD standards with direction from the project manager and other staff
• Develop diagrams and visual aids and prepare design specifications
• Interpreting sketches and markups, incorporating them into design sheets
• Applying revisions from markups, learn and follow QA/QC procedures
• Maintain files according to company CAD standards• Work directly with Project Managers, Designers, and other Lead CAD staff, including staff working remotely
• Preparing final drawings

Qualifications

Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months experience with AutoCAD
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple tasks
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Teamwork and communication skills

Preferred: 
• Associates degree in CAD or 2 years' experience with AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office
