Job Title: Catering Banquet Server/Waiter
Location: Montebello, CA
Hourly Rate: $17-18 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Catering Banquet Servers/Waiters to join our team in Montebello. As a Banquet Server/Waiter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, galas, and other special occasions. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service by serving food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests in a banquet setting.
Responsibilities:

• Set up banquet tables and buffets according to event specifications.
• Greet guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and in accordance with established standards.
• Monitor and anticipate guest needs to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
• Clear tables and clean up banquet areas during and after events.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with kitchen and catering staff to ensure smooth execution of events.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed, including moving furniture and equipment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a banquet server/waiter in a catering or hospitality environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift/carry heavy trays.
• Knowledge of basic food and beverage service techniques.
• Food handler's certification (preferred but not required).
