Overview
Viking Equipment supplies and services equipment automotive shops and dealerships throughout CT, RI, and MA.
We are looking for a Parts and Service Assistant to maintain stock inventory and manage internal processes for accepting service calls, developing work orders and parts lists, and providing our service techs with the tools and parts they need to complete their work.
We provide training. Experience in the automotive or a related industry is a plus.

Assistant Parts and Service Responsibilities:
- Organize stock parts, materials, and equipment
- Maintain inventory levels for common parts and equipment
- Accept and inspect deliveries
- Compile equipment inspection reports
- Determine parts from breakdowns and manufacturer customer support
- Assist Service and Office Managers when needed
- Organize parts and specialized tools for upcoming jobs
- Maintain annual inspection schedule for customer
- Coordinate with salesmen to track/evaluate used and new stock levels
- Assistant Manager Parts and Service Qualifications
- Experience managing inventories
- Experience in mechanical service
- Experience in automotive industry is a plus
- Experience in construction industry is a plus
- Computer skills particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Self motivated with strong organization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Forklift experience is a plus
