Vigilant Asset Protection is a leading company in the asset protection industry. We offer Undercover and Tactical Loss Prevention / Asset Protection services to various retailers in eight states and are looking to add undercover and tactical agents for the following cities in Oregon State (Portland, Salem, Eugene, Corvallis, Medford, Grants Pass, Bend, and Madras) and Vancouver, Washington.

Responsibilities:

• Observe, identify, and apprehend shoplifters in accordance with company guidelines.
• Conduct theft investigations, interviews, detainments, and retail asset protection.
• Author incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Document evidence in both writing and with photographs and upload into provided databases.
• Comply with ALL state, federal and local laws, and the policies, directives and procedures set forth by Vigilant Asset Protection.
• Notify direct supervisor of any work-related injuries, property damage or customer complaints.
• Work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Promote a culture of honesty and integrity.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• State issued unarmed security guard license
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgment
• Basic computer skills
• Basic time management skills
• Investigative/analytical skills
• Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Must be detail-oriented, highly motivated, and a self-starter
• Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, both inside and outdoors
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18 - $24 per hour based on experience
