Title: Registered Nurse - ICU/MICU/PCU/SICU

Location: Miami, FL

Job Summary:

Vighter is seeking Critical Care Registered Nurses to join our dynamic healthcare team and make a significant impact on the well-being of the veteran community in Miami, FL. We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate professionals to provide exceptional patient care. Reports to:

• Project Manager

Principle Accountabilities:

• Provides complex and comprehensive professional nursing services within the professional scope of practice for a variety of diagnoses for patients of all ages.
• Responsible for total patient care, including medications, orders, and
• treatments
• Assists the physician in performing special procedures, including sterile procedures
• Provide the full range of ICU nursing services within the professional scope of practice for a variety of post-operative and critically ill patients.
• Assists in emergency nursing procedures for prompt control of changes in the patient’s condition
• Head-to-toe assessments. Knowledge of normal versus abnormal findings and reporting of abnormal findings to Charge Nurse and/or M.D. if warranted.
• Critical thinking to intervene with appropriate intervention for
• urgent/emergent care.
• Care of acute and chronically ill patients.
• Knowledge of hemodynamics
• Basic IV and central line skills
• Basic understanding of cardiac monitoring equipment
• Systematically assesses the urgent or emergent health needs of patients, analyzes data, and formulates a plan of care, with other members of the medical team, which is realistic in relation to the employee’s capabilities and job requirements.
• Recognizes and treats illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions within the scope of licensure and regulations of state employment or practice.
• Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols, and the Privacy Act.
• Identifies and records signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions.
• Thoroughly exercises skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making daily.
• Makes independent judgments and prioritizes workload.
• Demonstrates proven success in stressful environments.
• Pursues professional development activities and continuing education to ensure currency with present practices and trends in healthcare and specifically in the practice of emergency medical treatment.
• Monitors reconciliation of financial transactions and ensures contract charges are applied uniformly.
• Protects patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, assuring consistent medication administration, and assuring proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies
• Adheres to strict personal protective equipment guidelines as necessary and/or directed
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any US state or territory.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program
• Basic Life Support/BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support/ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• United States Citizenship.

Experience:

• 2 years of ICU experience.
