Overview:

VIGEO GARDENS, a leader in indoor farming, is seeking a dedicated Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farming facility. As Farm Manager, you will be pivotal in launching farm operations, managing a team, and ensuring the seamless flow of daily tasks to meet our production targets. Responsibilities:

• Operational Management: Oversee the start-up and shut-down of the farm’s operations daily.
• Staff Supervision: Build and manage staff schedules for a team of 10-12 employees, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Workflow Coordination: Create and manage daily workflows to efficiently meet production goals and order fulfillment.
• Production Execution: Implement and achieve the farm’s daily and weekly production plans, adapting strategies as needed to meet targets.
• Unit Operations: Direct and monitor the four main unit operations of the farm: sowing, material handling, harvesting, and packaging.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership, training, and support to staff, promoting a productive and positive work environment.
• Quality Control: Ensure all products meet the high-quality standards set by VIGEO GARDENS and comply with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in farm management, agriculture operations, or a related field.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a medium-sized team.
• Excellent organizational abilities and experience in creating effective work schedules and workflows.
• Ability to work early morning or late evening shifts as required by farm operations.
• Familiarity with indoor farming technology and practices is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions and priorities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
