JOB SUMMARY:

The Vietnamese American Business Association (VABA), based in the heart of Silicon Valley, is looking for a Sales and Events Coordinator. This versatile role demands proficiency in sales, coupled with the ability to manage and execute events, contributing to our dynamic company culture in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Manage and maintain sales data using various software programs.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, close sales, and foster relationships with existing clients.
  • Cultivate an in-depth understanding of our products to enhance customer experiences.
  • Generate new ideas and implement strategies to expand the client base.
  • Set up dashboards and reports to monitor sales operations, cross-functional efficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Assist the Director and team members with operational needs.
  • Plan, propose, and execute new events to drive membership and increase brand awareness.
  • Prepare and host monthly or quarterly business seminar networking events.
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new Sales Representatives.
  • Create and maintain Sales Department policies, procedures, training manuals, and sales-related resource material.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with current members in good standing.
  • Adapt to changing economic environments while sustaining customer relationships.
  • Participate in and exemplify our company culture.
  • Act as an energetic team player.

Qualifications:

  • Prior sales or customer-facing service experience required.
  • Prior event coordination experience required.
  • High-performance and driven to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent listening skills to understand customer needs.
  • Strong ability to provide and receive feedback and adapt behavior accordingly.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to craft efficient processes.
  • Result and success-oriented mentality, conveying a sense of urgency.
  • Proven ability to initiate and build relationships in an open, friendly manner.
  • Innate drive to innovate and optimize the use of available resources.
  • Comfort with adapting to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
  • Proficiency in Vietnamese is preferred.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: $67,000 - $85,000, based on your professional experience and qualifications.
