Viera Charter School is Hiring a Clinic Technician 24-25 School Year - Viera Charter School Near Viera, FL
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and Maintain Student Medications
- Maintain all aspects of medication paperwork
- Administer medication for students per all proper documentation
- Complete basic care for ill or injured students
- Contact parent(s)/guardian of ill or injured students
- Complete Student Accident Reports for clinic as needed
- Contact Emergency Services as needed
- Maintain Student Emergency Contact Cards
- Applies “Alert” stickers to Student Emergency Contact Cards and update as needed.
- File and organize Student Emergency Contact Cards.
- Work with Administration and District Personnel to schedule the following screenings:
- Vision and Hearing
- Health
- BMI
- Work with Administration and create student schedule
- Complete and process all paperwork for screenings
- Assist Administration with Epi Pen Training
- Maintain clinic supplies and re-order as needed
- Maintain all aspects of clinic paperwork
- Maintain clinic upkeep per Health Department and County guidelines
- District/School Safety Requirements
- Sharps Containers
- Medical Waste Container
- Work with Administration to ensure medical equipment is in working order and up to code.
- Mandatory Attendance at all Faculty and Staff Meetings
- Perform such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign
Qualifications:
- Must be CPR/AED Certified
