Role : If you enjoy driving forklift and thrive in a team environment - we are looking for a Material Handler to support our CNC machine centers.

As Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our CNC machine centers through the timely delivery of raw materials, providing assistance to machine operators, and ensuring the proper packaging and distribution of finished materials.

This person shall reflect the goals and objectives as stated in our Statement of Purpose.

Responsibilities :

• Prioritize the safe operation of the forklift, ensuring the well-being of yourself and fellow team members.
• Deliver completed materials to designated storage areas.
• Stage materials at the beginning of the shift to facilitate smooth production startup.
• Conduct end-of-shift cleanup activities.

• Safety : Supports and adheres to safety and quality standards and procedures (JHA's / SOP's). Works towards safety improvements.
• Attendance : Reliable and shows up to work on time every day. Sets the example for the team. Flexible to work hours needed to meet customer demand.
• Communication : Frequent communication and support with Supervisor. Able to execute a clear and specific work plan. Can express ideas and process improvements verbally and with documentation.
• Teamwork / Customer Service : Maintains effective relationships with team and other departments. Clear understanding of customer expectations.

Ability and willingness to stop process to take corrective action when product does not meet customer expectations or tolerances.

Works to achieve department's goals within the team.

Work Quality : Exceeds quality standards while completing work in a thorough and accurate manner. Able to take on more complex orders.

Sets an example for others. Expert knowledge in work area to drive quality outcomes.

Productivity / Initiative : Participates in departmental process improvement. Leads small initiatives. Effective, high volume producer.

Consistently meets or exceeds work deadlines. Seeks new assignments.

Experience, Required and Preferred :

• Positive attitude, servant's heart, flexible and adaptable.
• Previous sit-down counterbalance forklift experience (electric or propane).
• Knowledge of and experience with general production safety requirements, procedures, and protection equipment
• Able work independently to support the router team in achieving production goals
• Capable of learning and understanding material types, part numbers, and inventory locations across campus.
• Willingness to anticipate the needs of each machine center and supply the correct raw materials for continuous equipment operation.
