Victory Learning Academy is Hiring a Center Director Near Rocky, NC

Our curriculum incorporates advanced topics including foreign languages, S.T.E.A.M, and enrichment activities. Our vision is to create a superior environment for our scholars, families, and staff, where children are not only educated but also nurtured and loved.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Site Director is responsible for overseeing daily operations at Victory Learning Academy, ensuring a safe and educational environment for children, managing staff, implementing curriculum in coordination with teachers, and maintaining open communication with parents. The Site Director must comply with federal and state daycare regulations and have a strong understanding of child safety requirements, first aid protocol, and required ECE certifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Child Care Operations and Management

● Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of qualified staff.

● Supervise, evaluate, and provide feedback to all center personnel.

● Accurately maintain personnel and children's records.

● Organize staff assignments and monitor food preparation in compliance with licensing requirements.

● Ensure a safe and clean physical environment that adheres to North Carolina licensing standards.

Communication and Coordination

● Foster open communication with parents and guardians.

● Establish and maintain connections with childcare organizations, regulatory bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.

● Provide verbal and written reports to regulatory agencies as needed.

● Guide the development of comprehensive class plans and support teachers in the classroom.

● Oversee the procurement and inventory management of supplies, equipment, and materials.

Professional Development and Compliance

● Secure and deliver professional training, including the fulfillment of annual training requirements.

● Ensure adherence to North Carolina state regulations.

● Monitor and maintain appropriate communication with parents, staff, and leadership.

● Build and sustain relationships with regulatory bodies through both verbal and written communication.

● Aid in the development, modification, and enforcement of personnel and family policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of an Associate or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education
  • Licenses / Certification: Completion of EDU 261 and 262 Administration courses; Level 3 administration certification (preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a professional early childhood setting
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in administration or leadership roles (preferred)
  • Familiarity with current child care center regulations and policies
  • Proficiency in managing and scheduling staff assignments
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management and requisition
  • Strong ability to multitask and delegate tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with parents/guardians and staff members
  • Solid organizational and planning capabilities
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proven crisis management abilities

PHYSICAL AND WORKING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physical Requirements: (To be met with or without accommodation)
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Stand up several hours a day
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Great hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
